    Things that help: Mestinon

Hi guys. As a start I just wanted to give you a quick update on what I know about the Cortene Trial. In a word, nothing. ha! It seems they are not in the habit of telling patients what the results are until the rest of the world also knows. I do know at least one patient it has helped, I don’t know about the others. I have no idea when the study will be published. I wish I knew, sorry about that! I get emails every week asking. I really have no idea. In the meantime… Mestinon Mestinon! If you have not tried Mestinon I highly recommend it! I…

    Things that help: Antivirals

When I first discovered that I have ME/CFS I started searching what might help me feel better. I believed I had some kind of virus in my system my body just couldn’t kick. And I knew I had chronic Epstein Barr. I had several tests over the years and some came out positive that I had the active form of the virus, and some came out negative and just showed I had the virus in the past. I had fever like bouts where I would be down for no reason with the aches and pains of a fever, and overwhelming fatigue and sleepiness. (Mono). Yet no temperature and no clear…

Things that help: Low-Dose Naltrexone, what it is and how to get it

I first learned about Low-dose Naltrexone (LDN) when I was working on solving my thyroid issues. For a long time I believed my thyroid was the cause of all of all of my woes. Turns out it wasn’t, but I am still glad I found LDN. Even just a little bit of this drug can have a great effect on people suffering from ME/CFS. Naltrexone is an FDA approved medication used to block the receptors in the brain from opioids and heroine. By blocking the receptors Naltrexone helps reduce cravings helping addicts recover from addiction faster. It has also been shown to reduce the rush from addictive drugs allowing addicts…

    What exactly is ME?

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Myalgic Encephalomyelitis also known simply as ME, is more than just being tired all the time. It’s a complex illness with multi body system involvement. It is the total dysfunction of the cells, immune system, and nervous system. ME is a total haywire malfunction of the body and overreaction to mild stressors. It is impairment of normal function The best way I have ever heard it described is by ME/CFS advocate Dr. David Bell as a “slow, chronic sepsis.” Severe ME patients have also been compared to AIDS patients in the weeks before their death. Let that sink in for a while. Symptoms When diagnosing ME, all other…
